From Idea to India's AI Fashion Platform
Woreto was born from a simple frustration: shopping for
fashion in India shouldn't require opening five apps. We set
out to build smarter infrastructure - and we've been moving
fast ever since.
February 2024
Company Founded
Woreto Private Limited incorporated under MCA India. DPIIT
Startup India application submitted. Development of the
core price aggregation engine begins.
Mid 2024
First App Launch
Woreto goes live on the Apple App Store. First users
onboarded. Price comparison and wardrobe management
features ship. First 4+ star reviews received.
Late 2024
ML Layer Live
AI personalisation engine deployed. Users can now receive
outfit recommendations calibrated to their body profile,
skin tone, and style preferences. Automated deal discovery
launched.
Early 2025
Scaling Traction
1,000+ downloads crossed. Platform expanded to cover
additional Indian fashion platforms. User retention and
rating maintained above 4 stars. Infrastructure scaled to
support growing data pipeline.
2025–2026
AI R&D Phase
Pre-training of generative AI virtual try-on system
begins. Indian body diversity dataset construction
underway. Diffusion model pipeline architecture finalised.
GPU infrastructure sourcing active.
Q4 2026
Virtual Try-On Launch (Target)
Public release of AI Virtual Try-On. Users upload one
photo and see any garment rendered on their body using
generative AI and computer vision. Video generation mode
ships alongside static try-on. India's first mass-market
generative AI fashion feature.
